Athlete Information

All runners will be allocated a designated space to set up their own base area for resting, refueling, and preparing between laps.

Due to the available space at the venue, we will have a range of site sizes available. If you're attending with friends, a running group, or as part of a workplace team, please let us know when you register in the morning and we'll allocate you a shared space so you can set up together.

Your base camp will become your home throughout the event, so make it comfortable and bring what you need. For those running longer than 9 hours or as part of a team you will have space to setup a tent or gazebo. For individual shared sites we will have gazebos setup.

What's the service?

Kits & Bits Events provide ready-to-go gear hire kits that include many of the essentials you'd normally need to pack, transport, and set up yourself. They'll bring everything to the event, have it set up and ready for your arrival, and pack it away when you're finished.

• All booked kits will be set up before race day

• The Kits & Bits team will check in throughout the event to ensure everything is running smoothly

While the Moturoa Backyard Ultra is all about discovering how far you can go as an individual, there's no reason you can't take on the challenge alongside your workplace, club, sports team, or group of friends.

When entering, simply include your team or group name and let us know if you'd like a shared space in the event village. We'll group your team together and allocate additional space for larger groups where possible.

Make your presence known by bringing along a banner, gazebo, flags, or team branding so your rivals know exactly who they're up against. Whether you're competing for bragging rights, workplace pride, or simply supporting each other through the hours, the event village is a great place to build team spirit and enjoy the Backyard Ultra experience together.

At the end of the event we will tally your team's laps and let you know how you went against other teams.
